Ralph Sistrunk, orphaned as a teenager while living in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, still managed to graduate from Duncan U. Fletcher Junior-Senior High School and from college and law school, serving in the military along the way. He tells a good story about these adventures but the book focuses more on his practice of law in Jacksonville. Who would have thought that a few funny stories could capture the spirit of Jacksonville as it emerged into a major city?
Sistrunk was very successful as an attorney; he's also successful as a storyteller.
